From launches to a new managing director – 2025 was intense!

2025 was an exciting year for Raidboxes! In addition to Raidboxes 2.0 and new product features, we have further developed our team, our working methods and our service – with over 40,000 support conversations and 3,000 website migrations. In this recap, you can expect our most important product launches, a change in management, impressions from the Partner Lab event, learnings from our webinars, insights into our growth and an outlook on our mission for 2026.

Raidboxes Product News: Launches & Releases

New Raidboxes 2.0 infrastructure (launched in 2024)

With our new Raidboxes 2.0 infrastructure, we laid the foundation last year for noticeably better performance and enhanced security. Almost all boxes are now running on the new servers, which in some tariffs offer twice as much performance as before. We will be adding the last boxes/edge cases shortly and finally finalising the biggest project in Raidboxes history to date.

Expansion of the product portfolio

At the same time, we have expanded our product portfolio – with the Raidboxes AI Site Assistant and our own Raidboxes Mail Hosting.

The AI Site Assistant is our WordPress AI website builder: You simply describe what you need and the tool automatically creates the design, content and structure for your new website.

We have also delivered when it comes to mail hosting: In the past, many customers have asked for more performance at a fair price. Together with our parent company team.blue, we have therefore revised and significantly improved our entire email offering. Please note: You currently receive a 50% discount on your first email contract and on all domains that you move to Raidboxes in the first year. The offer is valid from 1 September to 31 December 2025.

New add-ons

This year you can also benefit from new, really powerful add-ons:

Dynamic+ brings RedisCaching (currently for our Starter and Pro tariffs) and is therefore particularly interesting for dynamic websites such as shops or magazines. Data is not stored on the hard drive, but in the RAM. This allows your website to retrieve information much faster without burdening the database with every request. The advantages are obvious: lightning-fast loading times, a noticeable reduction in the load on your database and server as well as better rankings and more conversions in the long term.

Extended Staging: This allows you to create an additional environment and create separate backups for each environment – ideal for a clean Dev → Staging → Live workflow without detours. Multiple environments give you more control: developments run separately, tests remain clear and you can undo changes at any time thanks to the backup function. The current free staging environment remains in place. The add-on supplements it with backups and an additional environment.

You can easily activate all add-ons in the checkout or in your dashboard.

New Raidboxes features

There have also been major upgrades in the features area:

  • Storage extensions: up to 80 GB additional SSD storage
  • Carry outupgrades and downgrades yourself

Users can also look forward to two new features in particular in the near future:

  • Public API (beta): Automate tasks relating to websites (of customers) (e.g. automatically create new websites, manage SSL certificates, adjust PHP settings)
  • Temporary upgrades: book a higher tariff for a certain period of time and then downgrade again

Dashboard 2.0 Releases

After Raidboxes 2.0 (new server infrastructure), we are also working on our Dashboard 2.0, which means that we are revising and optimising the UX and rolling out the releases successively. The new dashboard is already available for you to access and you can already use the available functions there.

What was already released in 2025:

  • Create boxes more easily (within a few clicks)
  • Simply remove installations that are no longer required
  • Box overview as a central control centre for all boxes
  • Box details for deeper box insights from the overview
  • Manage payment settings flexibly
  • Manage contracts clearly (active, cancelled, terminated)
  • Organise and filter invoices (e.g. payment status, year)
  • Customise user profile with personal data
  • Customise security settings with strong password, 2FA etc.

You can now find detailed information on all product upgrades in our Newshub.

We are listening – The Raidboxes Partner Lab Event

We don’t want to decide on all the feature releases, add-ons and dashboard 2.0 updates on our own. It’s not just about pursuing our own ideas. It’s much more important for us to find out where our customers’ shoes are pinching, what’s slowing them down and which features would be real game changers for them. That’s exactly why we launched the Raidboxes Partner Lab.

At the beginning of November, we launched an interactive remote workshop with some members of our partner program. The agenda included: direct dialogue with our product team and management, brainstorming ideas for future features, networking with other Raidboxes partners and exclusive insights into our strategy and roadmap.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and made the event so worthwhile!

Change in the management of Raidboxes

After ten successful years, our founders Johannes Benz and Torben Simon Meier handed over the management of Raidboxes to Christian Klapka this year. The two look back on the past years with pride and gratitude and are now devoting themselves to new projects.

Christian brings more than 20 years of experience in the digital and telecoms industry and is highly motivated to lead Raidboxes into the next phase of growth. The transition was carefully planned to ensure continuity and stability for customers and partners at all times.

How we grow and develop at Raidboxes

Strategic orientation and leadership development

For us, 2025 was also characterised by workshops and personal development. To prepare for 2026, we took part in an intensive strategy workshop at our parent company team.blue in Ghent – a day full of focus, dialogue and new ideas.

In order to maintain a high level of leadership in the long term, our six-month Positive Leadership Class took place again this year with some new sub-leads. This is based on the values of the PERMA model of positive psychology: PositiveEmotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaningand Achievement.

We have also launched a mentoring programme in which all employees can further develop their communication, mentoring and coaching skills. This strengthens our team in the long term and promotes the internal exchange of knowledge.

Improve remote work life

This year, we continued to work on making working (in the remote setup) even more pleasant and healthy for everyone. This included non-violent communication (NVC) as well as relaxation workshops and sports and nutrition coaching sessions to help promote balance and well-being in everyday working life.

We also organised our annual winter and summer parties, guided cooking sessions and virtual coffee breaks to strengthen cohesion and team culture despite physical distance. This was supplemented by weekly virtual after-work meetings for anyone who wanted to.

On top of this, we also organised workations this year. As a remote-first company, we love our freedom and flexibility. At the same time, we enjoy spending time together to exchange ideas, work on projects or simply have fun together. Christian and Ralf from the Sales team combined their passion for camping with their love of the North Sea and spent a few days by the sea together. Our Marketing, Engineering and Sales teams each spent a week in MĂĽnster, where they used the time for workshops, good food and lots of activities together. And our Support Team also travelled and spent an intensive and enjoyable week in Freiburg.

Corporate Social Responsibility

We have also further expanded our commitment to social responsibility and sustainability this year.

As part of our Contribution Day, we once again spent a day with the residents of a retirement home in MĂĽnster to give something back. Another special highlight was our contribution to the Sinnkongress, where we were able to contribute ideas on sustainable management and social impact.

At the same time, we have revised our Core Values to align our corporate culture even more clearly with our values. We have also made initial preparations for B Corp re-certification in order to formalise our commitment to social, environmental and ethical standards.

Our mission for 2026

2025 has shown us once again how much we can achieve together. Our products, our team and the dialogue with our customers continue to drive us forward. For 2026, this means more exciting features and add-ons, even better tools, further optimisations to the dashboard and plenty of opportunities to make WordPress websites even more powerful and easier to use. We are looking forward to another year full of innovation, team spirit and shared successes.
